Strikes Twice is the fourth studio album by the guitarist Larry Carlton and was released in August 1980. He produced and arranged the record himself and also handled the engineering. Jay Graydon advised on the remix. The album was mastered by Bernie Grundman at A&M Studios in Hollywood.

You hear the leader himself on guitar and, on three tracks, also on guitar synthesizer, and he sings on three tracks. Greg Mathieson, Don Freeman and Brian Mann play keyboards, Pops Popwell plays bass, John Ferraro drums and Paulinho da Costa plays percussion. On the final track, For Love Alone, he also plays Fender Rhodes, bass, drums and percussion himself.
