Under the Mistletoe

Under the Mistletoe is Justin Bieber's first Christmas album and his second studio album. It was released on 1 November 2011. On 25 August he announced the project, and the guests were revealed later: Usher, Boyz II Men, The Band Perry, Busta Rhymes and Mariah Carey, with whom he recorded All I Want for Christmas Is You as a duet. The album contains seven original songs, co-written by him, alongside covers of Christmas carols and standards. Mistletoe, made with producers The Messengers, was the first single. Santa Claus Is Coming to Town uses samples of I Want You Back and ABC by the Jackson 5.

The reviews were mixed. Many critics found the original songs better than the classics, and some felt that the guests stole the show. The album did debut at number one on the American Billboard 200.
