Europapa
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Song
In March 2024 Europapa by Joost Klein, from Friesland, became a hit on TikTok and Spotify, reaching number one in the Netherlands and Flanders. The cheerful, chaotic song is about travelling freely through Europe, and also about his late father. After an incident behind the scenes, Joost was disqualified from the contest on 11 May, the day of the final in Malmö. The song remained popular afterwards.
Listening
Listening tip. Europapa sounds like a gabber party with a childlike chorus. Joost sings in Dutch and raps about the countries of Europe.
