Nomzamo
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work
Nomzamo is the third studio album by the British neo-prog band IQ and was released in April 1987. The band recorded it from January to February 1987 at Chipping Norton Recording Studios in Oxfordshire, under the direction of the producer Ken Thomas. It was the first record without the singer Peter Nicholls, who had been replaced by P.L. Menel.
The band otherwise consisted of the guitarist Mike Holmes, the bassist Tim Esau, the keyboard player Martin Orford and the drummer Paul Cook. A saxophonist and a few backing singers also play on the record, and Jules O'Kine sings a duet in Colourflow. Part of the recording was done in Kingston, Jamaica. The album was released through Squawk Records and distributed internationally by Mercury, in the United Kingdom by Vertigo and in West Germany by Metronome.
