The Appeal: Georgia’s Most Wanted

From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work

The Appeal: Georgia’s Most Wanted · Gucci Mane spent twelve months in the Fulton County Jail in Georgia in 2009 and 2010. After his release he put out a stream of mixtapes, songs and videos in May 2010 and named his label 1017 Brick Squad Records. The Appeal: Georgia's Most Wanted is a follow-up to The State vs. Radric Davis from 2009 and was released on 28 September 2010.

Besides his regular producers, including Zaytoven, Shawty Redd and Drumma Boy, he worked for the first time with Swizz Beatz, Wyclef Jean and Pharrell Williams. By his own account he made six tracks with Swizz and six with Pharrell, and picked the best from those. He considered the album his best representation of where he stood musically and mentally. It entered at number four on the Billboard 200.
