Out of This World
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work
Out of This World is Europe's fourth studio album and was released on 9 August 1988 on Epic Records. It followed the far more successful The Final Countdown. Ron Nevison produced the record, which was recorded in London, at Olympic Studios and Townhouse Studios. Guitarist Kee Marcello played for the first time, as successor to John Norum.
The first single, Superstitious, reached number one in Sweden and Norway and is regarded as one of the band's best-known songs. The album reached number 19 on the American Billboard 200. Reviews were mixed: one critic heard hard rock with all the rough edges worn smooth, another called it a series of impressive rockers. A tour of the United States ultimately never happened, because sales were disappointing.
