The Colour of My Love
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work
The Colour of My Love is Céline Dion's twelfth studio album and her third in English. It was recorded in Los Angeles from June to September 1993 and released in November 1993. David Foster, Ric Wake, Walter Afanasieff, Christopher Neil and Guy Roche produced; Diane Warren wrote four songs. Before that, Dion had already had success with the duet Beauty and the Beast.
The result is a smooth mix of ballads and pop songs. The Power of Love, a cover of the Jennifer Rush song, became her first number one in the United States. Think Twice spent five weeks at the top in Great Britain. The album also includes When I Fall in Love, a duet with Clive Griffin for the film Sleepless in Seattle. The reviews were mostly positive, and the album became one of the best-selling ever. In 1995 it won two Juno Awards.
