It's Snowing on My Piano

From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work

It's Snowing on My Piano · This was Bugge Wesseltoft's first solo piano record. He recorded it on 15 and 16 October 1997 at Rainbow Studio in Oslo. Siegfried Loch produced, and Jan Erik Kongshaug was at the controls as engineer.

The album contains traditional Christmas songs and a few pieces of the pianist's own, including the title song and Into eternal silence. The songs come from different languages: there are Norwegian, German, English and Latin titles. ACT Music released the record in 1997. In 2017 it was described as the label's best-selling album, with more than 150,000 copies. In Norway it reached number three in 2009, and since then it has returned to the charts around Christmas every year.
