Sold
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work
Sold was the first solo album by the British singer Boy George and was released in 1987 on Virgin Records. It appeared after the break-up of his band Culture Club in 1986 and his recovery from a drug addiction. The best-known song is his cover of Everything I Own, which reached number one in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Norway and the top ten in several other countries.
Three more singles followed: Keep Me in Mind, the title track Sold and To Be Reborn. In Europe the album did well, in the United States much less so. There it got no further than number 145 on the Billboard 200. The reviews were good.

Listening tip. Listen to Everything I Own and notice how calm and sensitive his voice sounds in this song.
