Black Sands

From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work

Black Sands is the fourth album by the English producer Bonobo. It was released on 29 March 2010. All the songs are by him, and he also plays a large part of the instruments, including piano, bass guitar, Fender Rhodes, harmonium, harp, xylophone and music box. Guests complement this: singer Andreya Triana on three tracks, as well as violins, flute, saxophone, clarinet, trombone and trumpet.

The sleeve carries a photograph of Derwentwater in the north of England. Tracks from the album can be found in films and series: All In Forms in a 2012 film, Kong in House of Cards and Black Sands as the title song of the French film The Measure of a Man. In England the record went silver.
