7800° Fahrenheit
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Work
7800° Fahrenheit is the second studio album by the American rock band Bon Jovi. It was released on 27 March 1985 on Mercury Records. The title refers to the supposed melting point of rock and was meant to promise American hot rock. The record was made in six weeks, between January and March 1985, at the Warehouse Studios in Philadelphia, with producer Lance Quinn. It was their last collaboration.
On this album four band members co-wrote the songs. Secret Dreams is the only song with a writing credit for drummer Tico Torres. Tokyo Road opens with the Japanese folk song Sakura Sakura. Only Lonely and In and Out of Love reached the Billboard Hot 100. The band themselves were unhappy with the sound and later all but disowned the album, although it is a fan favourite.
