Zoutelande
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Song
In 2017 BLØF had a big hit with Zoutelande, a duet with the Flemish singer Geike Arnaert about a beach in Zeeland. The song was a Dutch adaptation of a German song. It spent weeks at number one and for years was one of the most streamed Dutch-language songs. The little village of Zoutelande suddenly received many extra tourists.
Listening
Listening tip. Hear how the two voices alternate, the Zeelandic and the Flemish, over a calm, summery beat.
