From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Song
In 1960 the Indo-Dutch brothers Riem and Ruud de Wolff, as The Blue Diamonds, had a big hit with Ramona, an old American song that they sang in two-part harmony, with soft guitars. In Germany it reached number one. It was one of the first big international successes of Dutch pop musicians. Indo-Dutch musicians were the first to show that Dutch people could make pop music for the world.
Listening
Listening tip. Hear how the two brothers sing exactly together, in thirds, like the Everly Brothers in America.
