Irreplaceable
From HitStory, the pop encyclopedia of School of Rock · Song
On 17 October 2006 Irreplaceable by Beyoncé was released. It was made by the Norwegian production duo Stargate, with singer Ne-Yo as lyricist. Ne-Yo had first intended it as a country song. Stargate and Beyoncé turned it into an R&B song, with the acoustic guitar still up front. It spent ten weeks at number one in America. As in Sweden, American hits now also came from Norway.
Listening
Listening tip. Hear the acoustic guitar under the beat: a trace of the country song it first was.
