Dynamite! was the second studio album by Ike & Tina Turner and was released in May 1962 on Sue Records. The duo was busy performing on the Chitlin' Circuit and with club residencies in their home base of St. Louis. In between, they recorded new material, and some of the tracks come from the sessions of 1961 and 1962. The album also includes hits from their debut album, such as A Fool in Love and I Idolize You.
It's Gonna Work Out Fine became their second million-seller and earned their first Grammy nomination. On that track Mickey & Sylvia play guitar and sing along. Won't You Forgive Me is a pop-soul ballad, a duet between Ike and Tina. Letter from Tina appears here in its entirety for the first time. Poor Fool, Tra La La La La and You Should'a Treated Me Right also reached the Billboard Hot 100. A reviewer in 1962 praised the alternation between quiet numbers and fiery excitement.
