Nobody's Fools is het zesde studioalbum van Slade, uitgebracht in maart 1976 en geproduceerd door Chas Chandler. Sinds 1971 was de groep razend populair in Engeland, maar Amerika bleef moeilijk. In 1975 verhuisde ze naar New York en toerde ze het hele jaar, vaak met Aerosmith, ZZ Top en Black Sabbath. Het album werd medio 1975 opgenomen in het Record Plant in New York. Holder en Lea haalden hun inspiratie uit het leven in die stad.

Het geluid werd minder luid en rauw en kwam dichter bij Amerikaanse soul en pop. Tasha Thomas zong voor het eerst vrouwelijke achtergrondzang op een Slade-album. De singles In for a Penny en Let's Call It Quits haalden allebei nummer 11 in Engeland. Het album bereikte nummer 14, maar viel snel uit de lijst. Fans vonden dat de band zich had verkocht. Holder en drummer Don Powell noemen het toch hun favoriete album.
