All Hail the Queen is het debuutalbum van Queen Latifah, uitgebracht in november 1989 op Tommy Boy Records. Producers als Prince Paul, KRS-One en DJ Mark the 45 King werkten eraan mee, en op twee nummers gaan gasten mee: De La Soul en Monie Love. Het album laat horen dat rap zich met meer kon verbinden dan hiphop alleen: reggae, house en jazz klinken er ook in door.

Het bekendste nummer is Ladies First met Monie Love, een feministisch strijdlied dat een handelsmerk van Latifah werd. Wrath of My Madness was de eerste single en werd later gesampled door Yo-Yo. Mama Gave Birth to the Soul Children bereikte de veertiende plaats in het Verenigd Koninkrijk. The New York Times schreef dat de muziek soms sterk genoeg was om het album te dragen. In 2023 nam de Library of Congress het op in het National Recording Registry, omdat het andere vrouwelijke rappers nieuwe kansen bood.
